About

What should you expect when employees of Penryn Builders arrive at your project?

Our Story

Most of the Penryn crew workers are from the Amish church. Their faith informs their business vision and work ethic.  “Our motto is ‘Quality With a Passion,’”  relates Sam Stoltzfus, Penryn’s managing partner. “We want to create a Kingdom Focused workplace that helps the workers and customers gain a better understanding of the purpose of life as well as the realization that we are here to help each other. We also strive to help customers and employees achieve their future goals.”

“Since I was 16 years old, I’ve been in construction,” Sam explains.  With more than a decade in construction, Sam guides the team planning, estimating and building each customer’s dream. Instead of insisting on using only their preferred materials and ideas, Penryn Builders accommodates customer preferences and budget constraints by exploring and quoting varying material grades.

Penryn Builders began with a group of employees at Zeiset Equipment, a Manheim, PA company selling and installing agricultural equipment. In 2014, half a dozen Zeiset employees formed a partnership to answer Zeiset’s need for a subcontractor to handle the concrete work on chicken houses and other livestock buildings.  The following year, these partners also began framing for Zeiset, thus managing the building process from start to finish.

The company’s focus began to shift away from the agricultural market in 2018, when it moved to its own facility and started taking on projects besides Zeiset buildings.  Today, Penryn Builders predominantly serves residential customers in constructing additions, decks, and garages.
